HISTORY DEPARTMENT COLLOQUIUM of BYZANTINE STUDIES
The First Student Colloquium of Byzantine Studies is a one-day conference for both graduate and undergraduate students at the Bilkent University. The Colloquium will take organized by the Department of History place on 23 December 2016 at A-130 from 10.00 to 17.15.
The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for students to collaborate and present the results of their research in public while at the same time benefitting from the academic feedback of established scholars and professors of Byzantine and Medieval History.
With its predominant focus on the historical incidents of Byzantine Empire as well as Medieval Mediterranean at large, fifteen papers with various topics of Byzantine art, religion, politics and culture will be presented. The organization is divided into four panels and each paper will be reviewed and responded by a professor from Bilkent Unıversity or from Hacettepe University.
