The award ceremony for the student design competition "Remodeling the FEASS Interior" was held at the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design on Friday, April 27. The competition was conducted by the IAED department in collaboration with the dean's office of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences as part of the third-year interior design studio spring semester studies. Students worked in teams of two to four under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Semiha Yılmazer, Dr. Giorgio Gasco, Dr. Alper Küçük, Tomris Yardımcı, Tijen Türkkan and Hakan Yurdadoğan. In the first round, 24 projects were submitted. The 12 teams eligible for the second round then elaborated their initial proposals for final submission. Prof. Dilek Önkal, the dean of FEASS; Assist. Prof. Meltem Gürel, the chair of the IAED department; Mevlüt Kahraman and Cenk Atmaca from Construction and Maintenance; and IAED department instructors participated in the evaluation process. Two proposals were selected for top honors, with those teams sharing the first prize. Prof. Önkal presented the awards and certificates at the ceremony.
