PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS WIN SUPPORT FROM TUBITAK FOR THEIR RESEARCH PROJECTS

Three Psychology students have won support from TUBITAK for their research projects. This support is meant to help fund research for undergraduate students who are performing research projects under the supervision of a faculty member.

The students are awarded between 1000 - 2500 TL. We would like to congratulate all the current and past winners for their effort.





Winners from 2013 are:

*Begum Irkdas whose project is entitled: \"Influence of Musical and
Psychoacoustic Training on Pitch Discrimination and Temporal Specificity\"
(Advisor Katja Doerschner)

*Melis Narlı whose project is entitled: \"Developing a Play Assessment for
Young Typical Children in Turkey\" (Advisor Saime Tek)

*Gizem Yıldız whose project is entitled: \"Globalization and Identity
Conflict among Turkish People\" (Advisor Gamze Baray)

Previous winners include:

*Gulin Kahya whose project was entitled: \"Relationship between Estrogen
Fluctuations, Social Support, and Risk of Depression\" (Advisor Michelle
Adams) - 2011

*Zahide Pamir whose project was entitled: \"The Effect of Language
Lateralization Dominance on Categorical Color Perception\" (Advisor Hüseyin
Boyacı and co-advisor Emre Özgen) - 2010
