‘KAMU SOHBETLERİ’ CONTINUED WITH MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
The second session of ‘Kamu Sohbetleri’, organized by the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences, was held on November 27, 2014 with the participation of two FEASS graduates currently working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Cenk Uraz (IR/ 96) and Aykut Ünal (IR/ 05) were the distinguished speakers for the second session of the series.
The talk began with the guests explaining career options in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Following the presentation of opportunities and difficulties these options offer, Mr. Uraz and Mr. Ünal shared their own experiences in the Ministry. They also provided with essential information regarding the exam process by giving examples from the previous years’ exams. The guests emphasized that Bilkent graduates were privileged in the Ministry in terms of the language and critical thinking skills that they acquired at Bilkent. The talk was also participated by Mr. Onur Gökçe, former Ambassador and currently Senior Lecturer in IR.
FEASS ‘Kamu Sohbetleri’ brings together former graduates of FEASS, who are working in the public sector, and students, in order to facilitate their interaction. The objective is to help FEASS students to gain knowledge about the public sector at a time when they are deciding about future career paths.
